McKenna Sloan Georgia

Following her high school graduation in 2021, McKenna Sloan Georgia began a new chapter at the University of Georgia. There, she pursued a double major in Accounting and Management Information Systems, blending her interests in data and finance. Her academic path is focused on achieving a Master of Accountancy (MAcc) and preparing for the CPA exam, which indicates her aspirations for a career in public accounting.

Her life beyond academics and athletics is filled with various hobbies that highlight her engaging personality. She enthusiastically supports college volleyball, especially teams like Wisconsin and Nebraska. Her interest in literature, particularly mystery novels by Agatha Christie, and enjoyment of stand-up comedy, with Nate Bargatze as a notable favorite, reflect her wide range of interests. Additionally, her passion for American history, explored through podcasts, and her love for outdoor activities like skiing and snowboarding underscore her adventurous nature.

The Classic Academic Scholarship from the University of Georgia recognized her hard work and academic achievements. She was also accepted into the prestigious J.M. Tull School of Accounting and the Terry College of Business. Despite her demanding academic commitments, she remains actively involved in Beta Alpha Psi, Sustainable Business Society, and Women in Technology, which provide her with a platform for networking, learning, and community engagement.

McKenna Sloan has consistently shown a strong work ethic and collaborative spirit throughout her journey. As she moves forward, her goals are firmly set on completing her Master of Accountancy, passing the CPA exam, and pursuing a career in public accounting.
